About Us
The Full Story
Once upon a time, I had an idea of having a community of creative and crafty people.

In 2019, I quit my corporate job in Seattle as an event planner, moved to Anacortes with my husband (who is an Anacortes native), and bought a laser machine to create art. I LOVED having a job where I got to be creative every day - but struggled in finding other artists to make friends with. Then of course, the world shut down for a while.

Fast forward to 2021 when the world started getting back to normal - I began vending at other markets and loved being surrounded by other artists and makers! AND - being an event planner, I struggled with the lack of planning and information I was getting to vend at the events. With my wedding planning skills - I figured it couldn't be too hard to put together a market, so I reached out to the owner of Buxton's in Anacortes in July and hosted my first market with 27 vendors 6 days later and fell in love with the process.

Over the last 3 years, the markets happened monthly (sometimes twice in a month) at various locations around Anacortes and Mount Vernon. I've had the opportunity to work with over 300 artists from around Washington state and it has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.

When the opportunity came up in March of 2024 to finally have a permanent home in downtown Anacortes... it seemed like a easy choice and we started the process of what is now our Creative Hub & Coffeehouse in Anacortes. While it was a lot of work and hurdles to leap over to get it ready for our opening day - it was a wonderful and collaborative effort of our creative community who helped get it set up, cleaned, painted, and ready for customers to come enjoy.

We created this space for the community with the intention that it can be a safe space to meet with friends, enjoy art classes and meetups, paint pottery, have opportunities to sell art and handmade products, drink delicious coffee and tea, and so much more. We hope that you stop by and create fun memories for many years to come.
About the owners
My name is Frannie Bigge - we are a family owned business and live locally in Anacortes. My husband, Cameron, was born and raised here, and I grew up in Seattle which is where we met. We love finding ways to be silly and create joy. Cameron is a local chiropractor, and is also my Mr. Fix-It handyman for the business. I have been hosting artisan markets, teaching piano lessons for 15 years, and make art using a laser machine - and love all things art-related. Our daughter, Jade, is super creative and also loves drawing and painting! We love supporting local businesses and living in such a beautiful area.
